Cookie policy

This document explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on makonkey.uz and in our mobile apps, for what purposes, and how you can manage your settings.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save in your browser when you visit them. They let a site «remember» you between visits — that you are signed in, your language choice, your favourites.

Alongside classic cookies, we use related technologies: localStorage and sessionStorage (browser storage), pixel tags (1×1 px images for analytics), device identifiers in mobile apps. They all follow the same rules in this Policy.

2. Cookie categories

We split cookies into three categories by purpose: essential, analytics and marketing. You can manage permissions via the cookie banner or the «Cookie settings» link at the bottom of any page.

Essential cookies are always active — the Platform won't work without them. Analytics and marketing cookies activate only with your consent.

3. Essential cookies

Used for basic site operation and cannot be turned off: — session_id, mk_session — store the session identifier after sign-in; — mk_refresh — refresh token (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax); — csrf_token — protection against cross-site request forgery; — NEXT_LOCALE — chosen UI language; — mk_consent_v1 — your cookie preferences (without this we'd have to show the banner on every visit); — cf_clearance, __cf_bm — Cloudflare bot and DDoS protection.

Retention: from session-only (until the browser closes) to 1 year for long-term preferences.

4. Analytics cookies

Help us understand how users interact with the site, which features work well and which need improvement. All data is anonymised — we do not identify individual users.

Providers used: — Plausible Analytics (plausible.io) — privacy-first analytics without cookie identifiers, no PII. See: plausible.io/data-policy. — Yandex.Metrica (mc.yandex.ru) — primary analytics for the UZ audience. Cookies: _ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad, yandexuid. See: yandex.com/legal/metrica_termsofuse.

These cookies activate only after «Accept all» or after explicitly enabling analytics in settings. They are off by default.

5. Marketing cookies

Reserved for future advertising and partner integrations (retargeting, measuring effectiveness of partner-bank ad campaigns).

We currently do not use marketing cookies. When such integrations are introduced, we will update this Policy and request explicit consent.

6. Third-party cookies

When embedding content from third-party services, their cookies may be set: — Yandex Maps — for maps and geocoding (yandex.com/legal/maps_termsofuse); — Telegram — when using Telegram Login or the mini app; — Click and Payme — during payment.

These cookies are governed by the policies of the respective companies.

7. Managing cookies

Ways to manage settings: — Via the cookie banner on first visit (Accept all / Essential only / Customise). — Via the «Cookie settings» link at the bottom of any page — opens a dialog with per-category toggles. — Via your browser settings — you can block all cookies or delete existing ones. Some site functions may not work correctly in that case.

Withdrawing consent is not retrospective — data collected before withdrawal continues to be stored according to the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to this policy

We update this Policy when new cookies are introduced or existing ones change. Material changes are accompanied by a fresh banner display to confirm consent.

The current version is always available at makonkey.uz/legal/cookies.
